Deena Burjorjee is the Founder and CEO of Access Alliance, Inc. a women-led consulting firm dedicated to increasing investment capital for better economic and social outcomes for women. With a strong commitment to promoting equitable and inclusive financial markets, Access Alliance offers strategic advisory services and innovative solutions to financial institutions and investors, emphasizing gender lens investing.

A seasoned development finance professional, Ms. Burjorjee has extensive experience in emerging markets, focusing on enhancing inclusive financial sectors. Her career includes key roles at the World Bank Group and the United Nations, where she tackled complex challenges in gender, climate, and capital markets development. Most recently, as the Upstream Advisory Lead for the MENA and MCT regions at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), she built a pipeline of investable deals across a range of sectors including for women-owned SMEs.

Ms. Burjorjee has played a pivotal role in advancing women's financial inclusion, helping to found and facilitate the first women's financial inclusion Community of Practice at the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) at the World Bank, which now has more than 10,000 members globally. Her influential research on women entrepreneurs in microfinance and in conflict and fragile environments, including Yemen, remains a key reference in the field.

She currently serves on the Board of Calvert Impact Capital, where she is a Director and a member of the Risk and Credit Committees. Calvert Impact Capital manages over $650 million in assets, focusing on investments that generate social and environmental impact alongside financial returns. In addition, she has recently joined the Board of Inkomoko, a firm providing business advisory and access to finance for thousands of entrepreneurs across East Africa, including being the largest lender to refugees on the continent.

With experience across 30+ countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, Ms. Burjorjee is a passionate advocate for women's entrepreneurship and empowerment. She has also taught Microfinance at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and published numerous tools and guides in her areas of expertise.
