Peter is Associate Director, Senior Banker in the Western Balkans & Eastern Europe Financial Institutions team at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). He joined the EBRD in 2016 as Analyst working as generalist in the Bratislava Office and in 2017 moved to the Financial Institutions team where he focused on CSEE region over the last 7 years. Peter is responsible for transaction execution, business development as well as innovation and roll-out of new products in the area of structured finance and regulatory funding.
Mr. Bielik is the operational leader for the Wester Balkans Youth in Business programme that was launched in 2022 with the vision to deploy up to EUR 100 million of financing to young entrepreneurs. He is responsible for overall management of the programme and future roll-out across Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro North Macedonia and Serbia.
Prior to working for the EBRD, Peter spent 2 years at Capco, a global management and technology company dedicated to financial services industry, and began his career at Market Risk Management department of Tatra Banka, a.s. (subsidiary of RBI).
The EBRD is an international financial institution designed to foster transition towards open market-oriented economies and to promote private and entrepreneurial development across almost  40 economies across three continents, from the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, to Central and Eastern Europe, to Central Asia.
