In this session, an exploration of three case studies will give participants a better understanding of the role played by mutual health insurance in strengthening the resilience of poor women entrepreneurs. Three partnerships will be discussed, one between the MFI Yikri and the mutual Tond Laafi in Burkina Faso, another between the MFI Assilassimé Solidarité and the mutual Lamessin Nyo in Togo, and finally the mutual Uplift Mutuals. Through this session participants will be able to i) discover how the construction of client-centric products respond to the specific problems of access to healthcare for women and marginalised groups in these countries; ii) understand the integration of healthcare services within financial inclusion services; iii) discover the impact of the interventions on the personal, family and professional lives of beneficiaries; iv) become aware of the major challenges encountered in implementing these services. Representatives from Yikri and Lamessin Nyo, as well as from Atia, Opportunity International and Entrepreneurs du Monde, NGOs supporting the featured organizations, will share their experiences and answer your questions on the subject.
