Albert Boogaard Head Smallholder Solutions at Rabo Partnerships

Albert specialised in rural financial institutions and graduated as an agricultural economist at Wageningen University (WUR). He has over 20 years of experience in agricultural finance in different departments in Rabobank. He has worked throughout Agri chains with global F&A players as well as farmers, MFI’s and farmer organizations with a strong role for impact finance. Based on a need for more scalable solutions to bridge the finance and productivity gaps Albert has cooperated with over 50 Ag/Fintech initiatives in the last 8 years in different roles. This included the digitisation of supply chains, geodata and the analytical tools needed to translate this into new financial products and services. In his current role Albert oversees the growing number of smallholder propositions in Rabobank that are developed in close collaboration with key partners.
