Rani Deshpande is an independent consultant with 25 years of experience in management, strategy, and technical assistance in the fields of financial inclusion, poverty alleviation, and youth economic empowerment. Her current work with CGAP focuses on how financial services can contribute to positive outcomes for disadvantaged young women.

Previously, as Director of Financial Capability and Employment at Save the Children, she oversaw a $30M portfolio of global programs designed to provide adults and youth with the opportunities, skills, and tools they need to earn and manage a decent income. She also directed the YouthSave project, a $12.5M, 13-partner consortium initiative to investigate the potential of savings accounts as a tool for youth development and financial inclusion. Ms. Deshpande has also been a management consultant, assisting nonprofit organizations with strategy and business planning at The Bridgespan Group. Earlier, she conducted research and industry-building activities at CGAP, notably around savings.

Ms. Deshpande earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a dual Masters in
International Affairs and MBA from Columbia University.

Diana Salume Aqrchet is a Senior Programme Associate for Refugee Financial Inclusion at Opportunity Bank Uganda Limited (OBUL). Diana has over 8 years of work experience in delivering inclusive financial services to unbanked communities in Uganda. Since 2019, Diana has supported OBUL in designing and delivering tailored financial services to refugee communities in Uganda.

As a result of her efforts, OBUL has reached over 35,000 refugees with financial literacy, activated 10,600 refugee savings accounts, and disbursed over $ 1 million in loans to 4000 refugees. The bank has also established physical branches in Nakivale and Rwamwanja refugee settlements.

Diana is currently an MA student in Project Planning and Management and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, a Bachelors Degree in Economics (Planning and Development) and several other professional qualifications in Digital Finance, Financial Literacy and Investment. Diana is a Bank of Uganda’s Certified Financial Literacy Trainer. She is passionate about digital financial solutions, gender inclusiveness and youth empowerment.

From 2018 to mid 2021, as Chief Investment Officer, Deputy CEO of Symbiotics and Chairman of the board of the two Symbiotics Sicavs in Luxembourg, Sebastien was supervising the investment process, portfolio allocation and funds valuation of Symbiotics funds (USD 2.1 Bn and 21 sub funds under management). From 2009 to 2016, Sebastien managed PlaNIS that merged with responsAbility in 2010. At responsAbility he was directly in charge of the debt investments portfolio of responsAbility in Eastern Europe, Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asia (portfolio size of 820 million USD invested in 103 organizations). As member of the management committee of responsAbility and chairman of the strategic debt committee he was involved in the development of new debt funds and products (Agriculture Fair trade fund, Global Climate Partnership Fund) and of the investors relationship with French, Belgium and Luxembourgish clients and several DFIs.
As CEO of PlaNet Finance from 2005 to 2009, he fundraised and supervised on a worldwide basis more than 200 programs of technical assistance in microfinance, agriculture value chain, renewable energy access and SME Banks downscaling. He is also a co founder of FinanCités (microventure capital in France ) and Planet Guarantee (one of the largest worldwide broker in microinsurance).

She is currently the Executive Director of the Luxembourgish inclusive finance NGO ADA and is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) – Europe as well as of the Financial Innovation Tool (FIT) SIS. She is also a member of the Impact Investing Advisory Board (IIAB) of the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI).
Prior to working at ADA, she was the General Director of a microfinance investment vehicle for seven years after having worked as a consultant for UN agencies such as CEPAL (Comisión económica para América Latina y Caribe) as well as for European Commission-funded microfinance technical assistance and capacity building programmes in Latina America, Africa, and the Balkans for over ten years.
She has been a member of various boards and committees since 2010, notably in the areas of consumer protection, financial cooperatives, and ethical banks. Laura holds postgraduate university degrees in economics and finance as well as in environmental management and has since obtained various certifications, including in environmental and social risk management from UNEP FI and in financial inclusion from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Matthew Genazzini has 15 years of experience in development finance and inclusive insurance and is the Executive Director of the Microinsurance Network. He has a BA in Contemporary History from the University of Sussex and an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of London. He has significant experience in the inclusive finance sector with ADA – Appui au Développement Autonome, managing capacity building and product diversification projects for financial institutions, with a particular focus on microinsurance. In 2017, Matthew managed the Technical Support for MFI’s unit in ADA, which aimed to strengthen financial institutions through the provision of financial and technical assistance services, and in 2020, he changed position and launched the Smallholder Safety Net Up-scaling Programme (SSNUP), a public private development partnership aiming to strengthen the resilience of smallholder farmers by promoting investments in the agricultural sector. Micol has been working in the inclusive finance sector for almost 25 years. Her experience in financial inclusion spans across various markets and financial service providers. She is currently advising Investors and Financial Service Providers (FSPs) on client-centric design, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, GPES (Gestion Prudentielle et de l'Ethique dans la Satisfaction des Clients), and Client Protection and Gender issues. She has been involved in several technical assistance programs aimed at supporting FSPs in implementing a sustainable, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible strategy. Micol is a qualified social auditor certified by Cerise+SPTF and has extensive experience as a trainer and facilitator, providing training services to various investors (Blue Orchard, Triple Jump, ICCO, Oikocredit, DFC, etc.) and financial service providers in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Central Europe, and Asia. For over 11 years, she worked with MFR, where she was responsible for the development of methodology and tools for social rating assessment and client protection evaluation (CP). As the chairperson of MFR's social rating committee, she directly conducted or supervised hundreds of assessments, social ratings, and SPI (Social Performance Indicators) evaluations worldwide. She participated in sector-wide efforts (SPTF) for standardizing social indicators and USSPM (Universal Standards for Social Performance Management), and she was a member of the Technical Committee of the SMART Campaign Certification Program on Client Protection, contributing to the development of client protection standards and certification methodology.

I am an operational expert in mobile financial services in sub saharian Africa and a serial entrepreneur. Through my professional experience, I built strong skills in project and program management in the banking sector and mobile financial services.
I led important and strategic projects to launch new products or services, operate digital transformation, create new companies or business units.
I also developed operational and business development skills while leading commercial entities in SSA.

After a few years in the banking sector as a business analyst and project manager, in BNP Paribas, Société Générale in Benin, and Crédit Agricole in Gabon, I joined the Orange Group, where I am still employed today.
During my experience at Orange, I had the opportunity to lead commercial and marketing teams, and also develop new growth drivers for our MEA region in Niger, Guinea and in Paris at the corporate level.

I conducted the Orange Bank Africa program; our first milestone was the launch of our Head office in Abidjan. We are now ready to launch a branch in Senegal, and a micro finance in Guinea. Our Bank aims at developing financial inclusion by offering micro loans disbursed via Orange Money.

I am also a board member of our Orange Money affiliate in DRC and a board member for Orange Bank Africa in Côte d’Ivoire.

I am very sensitive and oriented towards financial inclusion and women empowerment, this has led me to become a mentor for the Women In Africa program.
In my new role at Orange Money Group, our Fintech, I support and drive our 17 Orange Money affiliates and our banking entities in business development opportunities, and multi country partnerships aiming to expand our offers and services.

I started as Programme Director at the International Climate Finance Accelerator Luxembourg (ICFA) in March 2022 and recently moved as director of the new International Social Finance Accelerator (ISFA). Both initiatives are distinctive acceleration programme aimed at supporting innovative and impactful emerging fund managers in establishing their investment vehicles in climate / social finance .
In my role, Laurence is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the accelerator programme, providing assistance to fund managers, increasing the programme's visibility at national and international level, and fostering a robust network and ecosystem collaboration.
Laurence brings 5 years’ experience in acceleration programme management, supporting start-ups achieving development and scale-up including the development of international visibility, fostering startup ecosystem.
Additionally, she brings 15 years of expertise in the banking and fund industry, specializing in complex instrument management and investment controlling.
Laurence earned a MSc in Finance from Liege University, where she conducted research and authored scientific papers focusing on risks and insurance. Additionally, she contributed to the writing of a book on actuarial theories.

He combines on-the-ground delivery experience in over 20 emerging markets, including in fragile states, with living and working in Kenya, Rwanda, and South Africa. Asmaa JABRI joined A2ii as an Advisor in September 2024. In this role, she contributes to multiple portfolios of A2ii, including Climate & Disaster Risk, Inclusive Insurance Fundamentals, and Gender. With over 20 years-experience in the insurance industry, she brings expertise in actuarial science, risk management, audit and insurance supervision to her role.
Prior to joining A2ii, Asmaa JABRI held several senior positions in her professional career, including Associate Director in an actuarial consultancy firm (2018-2019), Advisor to the Chairman of the Moroccan insurance supervisory authority (2019-2020) before being appointed Director of Prudential Control of Insurance of the authority (2020-2023). During this time she directed the design of a risk-based prudential framework as the Head of the Risk-Based Solvency project (2019-2023).
Asmaa JABRI is an ERM expert Actuary with a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) credential from the French institute of actuaries. She also holds a master’s degree in Statistics and Stochastic Models from The University of Rennes.
